Father and Son Day was set up by Daniel Marks and Jack Dyson, two friends who have both survived testicular cancer, andwhose fathers both had cancer.
It aims to inspire men by celebrating the legacy of respect and admiration that flourishes between inspirational fathers and their sons, between men and their mentors. It extends to the most important people in your life. Anyone can take part.
Through sharing photos of fathers and their sons, it raises awareness of all male cancers - but also every penny we raise goes straight to two projects at The Royal Marsden that will have far reaching benefits.
- Amazing 'super surgeon' fellowships, the first of their kind in the world, which combine multi-discipline surgery and the very latest robotic machines. One fellowship costs £80,000
- Teams of counsellors trained specifically to help young men going through cancer – again something of a first as nothing like this exists. Two part-time counsellors cost £75,000 per year
Any day can be a #FatherandSonDay. If you'd like to know more, either get in touch with us or visit www.fatherandsonday.com where there is more information - and you can see the images people have been sharing.
