Pumping sunshine in Nigeria 🇳🇬 ❤️ · 1 May 2020

Global One is building solar powered water pumps in impoverished communities in Kenya and Nigeria. We believe that everyone should have the right to access clean and safe drinking water, in a sustainably sourced way that does not harm the planet.

Story

This Ramadan I think  it is very important we do what we can to help our brothers and sisters who suffer from the lack of basic human necessities such as clean water.783 million people do not have access to clean and safe drinking water, over 60 million of these living in Nigeria, and over 18 million living in Kenya. 80% of illnesses in developing countries are linked to poor water and sanitation conditions. The availability of a safe and clean potable water source in the community would go an enormous way to reduce the casualties of these preventable diseases such as cholera and diarrhoea. To begin to respond to this catastrophic global water crisis, we are starting small and working with one community at a time with our Pumping Sunshine project.Your donations will help to fund the construction of a solar-powered water pump in a rural impoverished community.
