Why am I doing this?

Mum has been suffering with dementia for a number of years and watching her decline is truly heart-breaking.

It's a silent and slow killer and could strike anyone at any time. There's no previous history of dementia in our family, so it was a shock when she was first diagnosed.

For those that know my Mum, she was friendly and outgoing. Now she's confused and becoming unrecognisable from the woman our family loved and respected.

I decided to take on this challenge to try and raise some money to help future sufferers of this awful condition. It's probably too late for my Mum but I want to try and improve the quality of life or ultimately find a cure for ANY sufferers of this disease.

Please give what you can - every single penny helps.

Thank you.
