Running for my LIVES Challenge!

Fat Lad Running 5x 10 KM races! · 7 March 2020
For LIVES 50th year I intend to set myself a personal challenge and at the same time hopefully support a charity that means so much to me.
I intend to run 5x 10Km races, not only that I intend to complete the last one carrying my medic response kit and advanced life support defibrillator! (you never know I might need it half way round for myself)
My races will be:
Why is this a challenge? well as some may know I am a fat lad and I need to get off the sofa and burn some fat so this really is a challenge and in aid of such an important cause that many don't really know about!
LIVES is a unique charity in the UK dedicated to supporting an army of volunteers who give up their spare time to save lives across the county of Lincolnshire.
Our First Responders and Medics helped thousands of people across Lincolnshire in 2019, and we estimate 1 in 5 people in Lincolnshire have been helped by LIVES in the last 15 years.
I am an Advanced Paramedic and work alongside the First Responders as a volunteer for LIVES, I go out in all weather anytime of day or night and provide extended clinical care for the people of Lincolnshire.
Our responders’ actions literally save lives, delivering that vital immediate care in those critical first moments before handing over to the ambulance service.
And remember "It takes a team to save a life"
