We build electric eco-fences in Africa to protect Africa's threatened ecosystems

Story

Rhino Ark raises money for the building of electric eco-fences around mountain ecosystems in Kenya, namely Aberdare National Park, Mt. Kenya and Mau Eburu . This provides an "ark" for wildlife such as rhino, leopard, elephant and mountain bongo but also safeguards vital upland water table habitats for Kenya.

The Unicorns are a dynamic all-women team of “eco-warriors” dedicated to conservation and preservation of the great Kenyan wildlife in their spare time. Their deep-seated passion for the outdoors and their sense of adventure inspired them to conceptualize an all-female team to take-on the challenge of competing in Rhino Charge 2023 with the hope of:

* Raising much needed funding for the many initiatives of the
Rhino Ark Charitable Trust (“the Trust”);

* Inspiring young female drive enthusiasts to participate in
what is currently a largely male dominated event.

Our name The UNICORNS was inspired by the legendary horned
creature that more recently has come to refer to a privately held startup company with a value of over $1 billion. Unicorns are very rare and require great innovation, like our team. Staying true to the rhino cause our logo bears a sneaky resemblance to a rhino. We’re hoping for some unicorn magic as we embark on our first charge.

Rhino Charge is a yearly EXTREME off-road competition held in Kenya in which entrants are require to visit a number of points or guard posts while travelling the shortest possible distance across difficult trackless terrain, where speed and seeking out roads are penalised.
