Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

See the guy at the back of that group? That's me not enjoying a run very much.

On October 9th, I'll be not enjoying a run very much for 21 kilometres (13.1 miles in old money). That's quite a long way for a reformed couch potato.

I'm doing it to raise money for Parkinson's UK. Parkinson's is diagnosed in around 1 in 500 people - that's 127,000 people in the UK alone - and can affect the young and old alike.

Parkinson's UK offers practical support to those with Parkinson's and their families and carers, funds groundbreaking research into new and better treatments, and advocates for changing attitudes towards the condition. The work they do is totally dependent on charitable donations.

Nobody should face Parkinson's alone, and your donation will help to ensure they don't have to.
