Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This page is in memory of my younger brother DAVID.  Hysterical, joker and such a large heart for someone so small were ways people would often describe him.  But to me he was my ROCK and I was, am still and will always be so very proud of him.  I can't just let his suicide be the end of if and live with this massive void - so instead I am commemorating and celebrating having David as my brother.

The best way I know how is and to help me get through the anniversary of losing him in March is to use put my energy into helping others.  I know there are many mental Health Charities who work tirelessly to help people, like the Jacob Abraham foundation, of whom I will be raising funds for.  The Jacob Abraham Foundation is a local charity who raise awareness of mental Health and Suicide #RAMS for short.

My brother was my rock.  He was everything you could want in a brother and he was a much loved Uncle.  Unfortunately life wasn't kind to David and there were many battles to overcome from losing a mother through domestic violence when just a few months old and being born with a debilitating illness resulting in regular hospital visit stays throughout his life.  David never felt sorry for himself but would often describe himself as being a burden on others.  HOW WRONG WAS HE! I will never get over losing him but want to do what I can to help prevent others feeling they have no alternative to suicide.

The Jacob Abraham foundation are committed to help prevent suicide through direct intervention with vulnerable people.  Raising awareness on mental health / suicide issues, promote positive mental health and support people bereaved through suicide.
