Story
This year I am running the Brighton marathon in memory of my friend Angela, who unfortunately lost her fight with lung cancer in November last year. Although Ange would never consider herself a fighter, courageous or brave, to me the way she faced her illness made her all of these things and inspires me to complete this event and be thankful that I have the opportunity to do so. Not that she would be one for encouraging me to run 26.2 miles on her behalf but, I know she will be right behind me on the day. I remember her phoning me after the London Marathon saying that her and Andy had watch the whole thing looking out for me and I've never forgotten that. I have now completed a number of events for charity however, this is the most personal challenge I have ever taken on. This is my way of remembering my friend and showing those closest to her that she is never forgotten. I also want to try and play a small part in helping fight this terrible disease in an attempt to prevent future suffering. Therefore, any contributions made will go to the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. Thank you...
