So, I'm training to swim Windermere, and I'm terrified.

Let's be honest, it's natural progression. It's the next 'logical' step up from a 10k swim (marathon equivalent), to swim 18k, in a very cold lake, in the lake District, in a swim suit.

We're thinking it should take me between 6-7 hours (of sensory deprivation & being cold). My training is ramping up and it's starting to take over (again) ha. Trying to manage training for a big swim, a corporate job, 'artistic tendancies (or temperament)', an allotment & my local at the pub lifestyle is a lot - but it's going to be okay, everything will be managed.

Level Water provide 1-1 swimming lessons for children with disabilities across the UK. Swimming should be accessible for ALL, screw the dryrobes, all the gear (and no idea), the excessive costs of going to swimming pools, everyone should have the opportunity to fall in love with the water, be safe & be water confident.
