I’ve ridden all my life and horses have such a great physical and mental benefit for anyone spending time around them and learning to care for them.

From being very young I used to lead with the RDA and saw first hand the transformations in the riders both children and adults, in their physical mobility, focus, communication and self discipline.

Throughout covid the RDA activities and fundraising opportunities have had to be reduced, but the horses still need looking after with board, hay, vets bills and riding tack along with hats, gloves and boots for loan.

Kilimanjaro is going to be the hardest thing I’ve probably ever done physically and mentally but the motivation to summit will be so much higher if I know it’s for a great cause to keep the horses and their riders still enjoying the benefits of the Otley & District RDA.

Now finally moved to October 2022!!
