Story
Thank you for visiting my page.
I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support to and campaigns for better treatments for anyone affected by the soft tissue cancer, sarcoma.
My step-brother, Rob Metcalfe, died of synovial sarcoma in 2022, at the age of 32. In the period leading up to his death, Rob created a series of video blogs that captured his emotions, feelings and the impact of his illness on him and his family. In the videos, he talks about the people he met, the information and advice he was given and the decisions he had to make during his illness and treatments,

Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, you can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the Sarcoma UK Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
The challenge itself involves kayaking/canoeing 85 miles starting at Glasbury and finishing at Redbrook. I'll be setting off early on Friday 7th April 2023 alongside 8 of my closest friends who will also be partaking in the challenge. Over the course of 4 days we'll be aiming to tick off the miles, camping along the way with the end goal naturally being a pub.
I plan to update this page regularly before and during the challenge as well as other social media which I will provide a link to closer to the event.
Thanks everyone for your support already and we'll see you on the Wye.
