Featherstone High School is in Southall and educates over 1500 pupils. The school has very little outdoor space and hardly any green space for the pupils to enjoy. Trees for Cities wants to solve this by planting fruit trees and developing an Edible Playground for the pupils in a piece of unused land, between the games area and the community recreation ground. We have spent time talking to the school council, a special needs group and the teachers about what they would like to see in the garden. All of the pupils and staff have been very enthusiastic and are all very keen to grow their own vegetables and fruit. They have come up with some fantastic ideas for their new garden and are desperate to see them in their garden. We need help making their garden a reality. We are raising money for this project and hope to get £30,000
- £3 could buy 5 packs of vegetable seeds
- £10 could buy gloves for 10 pupils
- £100 could buy an apple tree
