Story

Hi I’m Felicity and I am running the Bath Half marathon this year with my best ‘running’ friend Molly.

Six months ago Molly and I would certainly have not considered ourselves to be ‘regular runners ‘ in any shape or form. Starting out 1 Mile was about all we could manage before our feet ached or we were out of breath. Our partners were supportive of our plan but we could tell they were a little sceptical so in true Molly and Felicity style we set out to prove them wrong !

We then decided that whilst the feeling of crossing the line would be a real achievement and would stay with us for a long while ,we wanted something to show for our achievement rather than just a shiny medal.

Therefore we decided not just to run but to run for a charity. I have chosen to run for The stroke association, a charity close to my heart after all the help and support they have given my family after one very special member of my family became a Stroke survivor not once but four times . Amongst other things The Stroke Association South West provides a regular monthly meeting for stroke survivors to attend and meet other people whose lives have been affected by Stroke,  giving practical help and advice but most importantly giving stroke survivors companionship showing them they aren’t alone in completing their rehabilitation goals !

Please help me achieve my target to support this charity to continue its great work.
