Story
Hi all,
On the evening of December 3rd, I will be walking 10km in support of the wonderful Shelter charity.
Working in central London means that I see homelessness on a daily basis and especially now the weather is getting colder I never know how best to help.
Fact by the BBC: 22,000 young people aged between 16-24 will be homeless this Christmas.
So this is me doing my bit and to do my bit I need your help.
About the event:
The event is called ‘Sleep Walk’, and it’s designed to bring people together to take steps against homelessness. Starting in Waterloo, the walkers will embark on a 10km loop through Central London whatever the weather.
What do Shelter do?
Shelter have been around since 1966, they believe every person deserves a home. They offer housing advice, support and legal services to those in bad housing, those faced with homelessness and those who are already homeless.
For every £1 you give, 79% is spent on helping people directly while the rest is spent on fundraising activities.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated, it is a great cause that needs our support.
THANKYOU
