Story
The lives of those sufferering with dementia, and their families, are turned upside down, and the persons they once were are unrecognisable. A cure needs to be found.
As Covid-19 has prevented charities receiving money from events such as the London Marathon, I wanted to help in a small way. I have asked friends over the years to sponsor me on sporting challenges, but decided to go out of my comfort zone. Ridiculous as it sounds I am more nervous about having a shaved head than doing a run or cycling challenge; I've never had hair shorter than a long bob all my life (except as a baby) - it will upset some members of my family. At least it will grow back, but maybe not as it was and it might grow back grey! My daughter, Georgie, is going to cut off my hair - first she is going to try different styles, and then she will go for the big shave. If I can raise £500 then I will go ahead with the shave.
Please support me to raise much needed funds for a terrible illness.
Thank you.
