Story
As a lot of you will already know, Scott and I haven't had the easiest past few years and still have our challenges yet to come along the way on this journey to our earth side baby.. so we have decided to take on the 25 Miles in December Challenge for Sands as this is something that truly is very close to our hearts.
This entire journey has been such a rollercoaster, one which we are still very much on. Throughout this journey it has always been my mission to be as open and honest about what we have been through with the hope that maybe if someone sees our journey, they may not feel so alone themselves.
So we are taking on this challenge to try and spread as much awareness and support as possible, as unfortunately we know all to well that this isn't a journey that we have walked alone. There are many people that have unwillingly joined the worst club in the world, one that no one wants to be apart of but that we don't have a choice if we join it.
There is still such taboo around baby loss and all that comes with it and we really want to make a difference, take action and make an impact and show support to all that have had to walk this path that life has led them to.
We would really, really love your help to be able to raise money for this wonderful charity and make a change! I've included information about Sands, the stillbirth & neonatal death charity below.
Sands offers emotional support and practical help to anyone affected by the death of a baby. We work in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care.
We promote changes in practice and fund research to reduce the loss of babies' lives.
