This year we have decided to take on a challenge as a father/daughter duo! Women's Aid is a cause close to our hearts. Fern is not only a supporter of the organisation but also an employee, and Stephen is a proud feminist and advocate of women's rights (particularly in his work with the armed forces).

Together we feel we make a great team to tackle the horrendous issue of domestic abuse, and in turn misogyny. 

To give you an overview; Women's Aid is the national charity working to end violence against women and girls. 1.7 million women experience domestic abuse every year in England and Wales (which is undoubtedly 1.7 million too many). Women's Aid do frontline work to support survivors of domestic abuse, as well as training, research and campaigning in order to make societal change. 

We are keen to raise both money and awareness in taking on this challenge. Stephen is admittedly a rather good runner, however this is definitely going to be somewhat of a challenge for Fern. But we are very much excited to take this on together, and will be running it as a pair... Running for Women's Aid will most certainly be our best motivator.
