After completing the Couch to 5K challenge, we've been inspired to push ourselves even further with our running! So, we've decided that we want to jrun 1500K between us, in a year from 1st November 2019 to 31st October 2020!

After experiencing some serious health issues this year and having struggled with coordination difficulties all her life, for Fern this is even more of a challenge than it is for most.

Whilst Mary-anne has enjoyed running in recent weeks, she sees this as a good opportunity to keep motivated for a sustained length of time! She looks forward to sharing this challenge with family and friends who are willing to join with her on the runs.

We are doing this challenge for a charity that is very close to both of our hearts. St Matthews Big Local is a Leicester based charity, which hopes to improve the lives of people living in one of the most deprived estates in the country, by various means. Whether this be offering free meals to children during the school holidays, providing sporting activities via their Multi Use Games Area, or taking families to the seaside, we feel that this a very good cause to support!

We're aiming to raise £1 for every kilometer that we run, so if 1500 people donate £1 each, we'll reach our target! 

We very much appreciate any donations, no matter how large or small and if anyone wants to join us on one of our runs, you would be more than welcome!
