Mathew and his brother Will took on Defeat Delamere 2025 to spend time together and support a cause close to their hearts. With their grandad’s lung health struggles in mind, they tackled the tough 10km course despite very different fitness levels. Will, an ex-Royal Marine and seasoned athlete, encouraged Mathew, a busy tech Account Director and dad, through every hill and water stop. They pushed hard to cross the line in 58:01, a proud moment for Mathew on only his third 10km run. The challenge brought the brothers closer after years of long hours and time apart, and raised vital awareness for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
