TOTAL RAISED 4TH FEBRUARY IS £6207.80!!!

On the 11 of February 2012 Jake and I will be starting our amazing journey to climb the tallest free standing mountain in the world. At 19,340 ft (5,895 m) above sea level its size is 60miles x 40miles so we certainly have a long way to go! However we are not only doing this for fun oh no, we are doing it in order to raise money for a worthwhile cause.

The local charity we are supporting is Daisy Chain which is based in Norton and supports families who have been affected by autism. Autism is more common than most people think; did you know there are half a million people in the UK with autism? That’s around 1 in 100 people. Daisy Chain helps the needs of both children with autism and their families by providing a range of unique services and activities. We are aiming to raise £7,000 for this cause which is a tough target but we are confident that with your support and contributions we will succeed. Jake and I have already donated £350 each to go towards the trip. We will be organising many exciting fundraising events that will help us along the way so we will keep you all updated.
