Story
1 in 10 people across the world don't have clean water close to home. They walk an average distance of 6 kilometres every day just to reach a water source, and even then it is usually dirty water they are collecting.
Lives aren't being lived, lives are being destroyed, lives are ending, because of something as simple as clean water. Clean water helps children and adults to stay healthy, be better nourished, to stay in education, to have opportunities for the future, and to stay safe. But 844 million people don’t have clean water, and this needs to change!
I am fundraising for World Vision, an organisation working to provide clean water for people all over the world. They seek to bring hope to children in the toughest places as a sign of God's unconditional love. Over the last five years they have reached more than 14 million people with clean water. And their work continues. Read the stories of what World Vision is doing here: https://www.worldvision.org/clean-water-news-stories/compare-walk-for-water-cheru-kamama
For the next 50 days I am running 6K every day, like millions of women and children have to do each day.
Please help to make a change by supporting World Vision. THANK YOU!!!
