I will be entering a run per month for 6 months from June to November 2008.

* 22nd June  -  Freckleton Half Marathon
* 13th July  -  Eccup 10 mile road race
* 17th August  -  Birchwood 10k
* 6th September  -  Derwentwater 14k trail run (*** CANCELLED ***)
* 21st September - Antrobus 10k (*** to make up for Derwentwater cancellation)
* 4th October  -  Coniston 15k trail run
* 1st November  -  Helvellyn 15k trail run †
* 2nd November Ullswater 12k trail run †
(† I have increased my target from £500 to £750,and in return I will now be running both of these runs in November - I was originally only going to run one of them! - amended 21/08/2008)

I am hoping to raise as much money as possible for IA (the ileostomy and internal pouch support group) - Merseyside Regional Group, who are an excellent charity, offering help & support to people who have to undergo surgery which involves the removal of their colon (known as a colectomy) and the creation of either an ileostomy or an ileo-anal pouch.  The charity also funds many research projects into the diseases/conditions that cause the necessity of such life changing surgery.

The charity, has certainly been of great help & benefit to myself since my surgery, towards the end of 2007. Over the past few months I have worked hard with my recovery and now at a level of fitness to resume my running, and so would like to give something back to the charity with this fund raising 'challenge' I've set myself! ANY contribution you can make to this worth while cause will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
