Alastair and Finlay's Fifty Mile Pass for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation

Fifty Mile Pass for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation · 6 May 2021
Doddie Weir OBE is one of rugby’s most recognisable characters earning 61 caps for Scotland during his career. He now faces his biggest challenge after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2017.
He and his trustees set up the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation to raise funds to aid research into the cause of MND and potential cures. They also provide grants for those suffering from MND to allow them to live as fulfilled a life as possible.
Keen rugby enthusiasts Finlay Haddow (13) and his grandfather Alastair Haddow have created a fundraiser for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, passing a rugby ball to each other for 50 miles (the distance from Scotstoun Stadium to Murrayfield) over the next 2 weeks.
They start at Scotstoun and will pass the ball for a few miles a day and make their final passes at Murrayfield.
They are hoping to raise awareness of MND and the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and generate much needed funds for this worthy charity.
Any donation, big or small, would be be gratefully received. All donations go to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Many thanks in advance
Finlay and Alastair
