"On 31 January 2014 after struggling with illness for many years I was diagnosed with splenic marginal zone lymphoma at Chelsea and Westminster hospital. The medical team couldn't have been kinder, many operations, tests and procedures were performed, and on my first day of treatment 27th February 2014, I experienced severe side affects. I stayed overnight in the Ron Johnson ward. The ward and the care was second to none. How grateful I am for the final diagnosis, having been so unwell, being told I had stage IV lymphoma made everything make sense. What a journey. Two years on and I am still attending treatment on Kobler ward at C&W. Their care remains first class. My Macmillan cancer nurse Kizzy and the whole team are always professional, kind and accessible. The friendly face of Mikey on reception, and the kindness of the staff on bloods is always consistent, and much appreciated. Russ Hargreaves the Macmillan service manger and counsellor continues to give support and the complementary services in the Macmillan centre are of comfort and great value. Thank you."
