SAMH Stomp · 26 October 2019 ·

After an amazing second year, Scotlands unique stair climbing challenge, the SAMH Stomp, is back! Come join Team SAMH on 26th October and conquer BT Murrayfield stadium.

Story

Myself and a bunch of strapping young men from CrossFit East Kilbride are planning on tackling Ben Nevis on the 20th July wearing a 20lbs weighted vest in aid of men’s mental health which is affecting so many young men. 12.5% of men in the uk are currently suffering from mental health issues and 3 out of 4 sucides are men. Its time to break the stigma! More men need to talk, it will save lives

Around since 1923, SAMH currently operates over 60 services in communities across Scotland providing mental health social care support, homelessness, addictions and employment services, among others. These services together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention, sport and physical activity; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.
