I am feeling excited and nervous about the adventure on which I am about to embark. I will be sailing two legs of the Clipper Round the World yacht race, a daunting prospect for a previous champagne sailor! I sail from the Whitsundays tomorrow to Zhuhai in China, 5500 nautical miles over two months. Then I leave the boat, re-joining in New York to sail back into London, 4405 nautical miles which will take just under two months.
