Run for Dementia
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
How many miles can you run in 30 days? Could you take on 50 or 100 miles to help us beat dementia?

Story

The past few months have been tough for everyone, but coronavirus has hit those affected by dementia the hardest and continues to disrupt lives. So that's why We’re lacing up our trainers for the FIRST time together as mother and daughter  and taking on a Run for Dementia with my friends who are also my colleagues Kelly and Tonisha, and my running partner Bella , who is running along side us all to support her grandad who is suffering with dementia , it’s so close to our hearts as myself and Tonisha have family members suffering with Dementia. It all started with us challenging ourselves to the couch to 5k, so in January we began our training and will continue throughout February, in preparation for our fundraiser 50 miles in March. But as many of you know I have ran previously and completed two 1/2 marathons, but after having a foot injury for the last 6 years , this is still a big challenge for me .

I know it’s a difficult time for lots of people financially, so even if your support means simply spurring us on, or if you could make a small donation to support and ensure Alzheimer's Society can be there for the people who need them most, it would be so gratefully received , wish me luck xxx
