Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I had this crazy idea that I would like to run a marathon so about 8 months ago I entered the Edingburgh marathon.. I compleated the Reading Half Marathon at the end of March when I crossed the finnish line at 13.1 miles it suddenly dawned on me how far a marathon actually is. So for this challenge I am going to have to dig deep to find the motivation to keep going. I thought what better motivation than running it for my best friend Katie (RightBright's) chosen charity.
Running a marathon should be a walk in the park considering what Katie has been through after being diagnosed with Hogkins Lymphoma sereral years ago she has been in and out of hospital more times than I could possibly remember, she has had every possible treatment that they have to fight it including the most recient treatment a stem cell transplant which requires 2 month's in an isolation room. Katie nearly made it into remission on 2 occassions only to be told that it had returned and she would need to go through it all again. Katie is doing really well and she is now training to be a peadriatric nurse.
I cant think of anything more inspiring to keep me running for 26.2 miles and knowing that I am raising money for such a good cause. Im really proud of Katie for everything she has been through, so Right Bright im doing this for you.
If you could spare a few pennies to go towards such a fantastic cause I would be so greatful, it dosent have to be a lot as every penny really does make a difference. Thanks, Fi
