Barking Havering & Redbridge Hospitals- Rapid Arc Radiotherapy Treatment · 14 October 2011

Our hospitals serve 900,000 local people. Whilst the NHS provides funding for the necessities, King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity funds projects which enhance the hospital experience for patients, visitors and staff at both Queen’s Hospital, Romford and King George Hospital, Ilford.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As you all know we are both Nurse's on the inpatient Cancer ward at Queens hospital caring for patients undergoing various treatments, we are both extremely dedicated to our patients and we take their journey alongside with them so......In a moment of madness we have both decided to complete the Great Wall of China Trek in October 2011 to raise money for 'Rapid Arc' Radiotherapy treatment. This treatment represents a major medical advancment, patients will spend less time in their daily treatment at least 80%. Patients will be able to recieve this treatment and continue with their daily lives.

We have offered 10 days of our annual leave to achieve this and would greatly appreciate all donations to achieve our target of £10K!

We are determined to complete this challenge and improve our patients experience.

We will keep you all updated and a ' HUGE thank you' to you all for your support!
