Over the past year I have had the privilege of sharing the stories of people who have received the heart-stopping diagnosis of cancer. However, thanks to Cancer Research UK, that diagnosis doesn't need to be life-stopping. 

I have been lucky enough to meet some of the dedicated scientists who are undertaking the painstaking and inspirational research to find new ways to tackle this disease.

From finding new uses for existing treatments to studying the very roots of how cancer begins, the work of these scientists - based across Scotland and the UK - is funded by Cancer Research UK and is saving lives every day.

Throughout 2023 I aim to take part in 23 running events to help raise funds to support their research and I hope to dedicate each event to someone who is part of this huge effort to find a cure. Together we can beat cancer.
