I have finally decided to take on a full marathon and thought I would give London a go!

I am raising money for Diabetes UK, the leading UK charity that cares for, connects with and campaigns on behalf of all people affected by and at risk of diabetes.

At the age of 10 one of my friends was diagnosed with type one which meant a lifetime of blood test and daily injections.  From then, my younger brother was diagnosed and I have since had a number of friends and family members diagnosed with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Approximately 400,000 people are currently living with type 1 diabetes in the UK, with over 29,000 of them children.  If nothing changes, more than five million people will have diabetes by 2025. Around 90% of people have Type 2 diabetes and 10% of people have Type 1. 

Please dig deep and help me raise the target for this great charity to help them reduce the rate of increase of diabetes.
