Story

Fiona is taking on the 2.6 challenge in aid of Headway Devon. Fiona has chosen ten challenges and will undertake them over a period of 2.6 days, finishing at 2.40pm on Tuesday.

Fiona will be: singing 26 songs, finding 26 stones in the garden, reading 26 books, doing 26 minutes of dancing, drawing 26 pictures, catching a ball 26 times, kicking a ball 26 times, watering plants in the garden for 26 minutes, and painting for 26 minutes.

Ruan will be supporting Fiona's efforts by stealing her toys when she's distracted, sucking his fingers, and occassionally saying "bye bye" and crawling away.

Headway Devon supports people with acquired brain injury. All of our clients are classified as being at higher risk of Covid-19. Headway Devon keyworkers are continuing to place themselves at risk to ensure that our clients can adhere to government guidelines and stay safe and well at home. Our keyworkers are supporing people to access essential food, medicines and services, and providing vital emotional support to clients and family carers who are bearing a much greater burden of care at this time.

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
