Moor House School & College provides specialist education and therapy for children with specific speech, language and communication disorders. Through extended curriculum teaching and care, students are enabled to face their transition to adult life with far greater confidence and ability.

Story

I am raising money for Moor House School & College in Oxted, Surrey - which is attended by Sophie, a friend's daughter. Sophie has a severe speech and language disability and has attended Moor House since the age of 8. Her parents have, in their words, "marvelled at how she has developed into a bright, articulate, independent, loud and stroppy teenager, something we never thought possible before she started at Moor House." The school has been truly transformational for Sophie. It is a state school with an 'Outstanding' Ofsted accreditation. Sadly the infrastructure is far from outstanding and has seen little investment in the past four decades; they're needing to raise £2.5M.

I want to do my bit in raising funds to help Moor House (https://www.moorhouse.surrey.sch.uk) to continue to invest and expand in its capabilities to provide specialist education and support for children like Sophie. Please help make a difference by sponsoring me on what will be one of my more demanding physical challenges (a calmly written understatement!)
