Fiona died on 23/10/2015 after a 3-year run-in with cancer.

She packed a lot into her 53 years:
- an impressive career in palliative medicine
- raised 3 no-longer-children
- found and accompanied a husband for 27 years and 364 days
- volunteered for the church as a Sunday school teacher and later as a 'Fair Trader' once the company assumed she already was one upon noting how big her orders were (she was just attempting to keep up with the appetites of three growing children who loved pasta)
- created sounds on the saxophone that nobody had achieved before her (interpret that as you will)
- won occasional games of 'pictionary' and 'gin rummy'
- grew an array of fruits and vegetables, even winning 'best beetroot' at the Clifford Show in 2011
- still somehow found time to cram chocolate into every meal possible (teaching us all that it was perfectly okay to order a starter and a pudding because to be honest, those are the best bits of a meal, anyway).

She has impacted a lot of people through all of this, as a daughter, sister, wife, Mum, aunt, friend, cousin, mentor and colleague, and asked that anybody who would like to donate in her memory would give to Yorkshire Cancer Research.
