Andes to Amazon Bike Ride · 13 January 2008
I was hit by the Asian Tsunami in December 2004 and lost my right leg as a result of my injuries. Since then the excellent medical care I have received has enabled me to return to a completely normal life.
Unfortunately, many disabled people in Cambodia and across Asia are unable to access the standard of medical care that I have had and as a result of this they cannot achieve the same level of normality in their lives as I have been able to.
The Cambodia Trust works with disadvantaged disabled people to enable them to participate as equals in education, employment and community life. As I have personal knowledge of how important this is I have decided to raise money for it by cycling over 300Km up and down the Andes in Peru from Manchu Piccu to an Amazon jungle town called Atalaya in September 2008.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cambodia Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
