Post Marathon update

I did it.  Had a great time and did a great time 3hrs 40mins 15secs, 20 minutes faster than I hoped for.  Alison and I ran the race together and crossed the line holding hands.  It was honestly fun!  I suppose it's bit like childbirth, it probably wasnt quite so fun at 24miles when the blisters strated to hurt, but time is a great healer!  The fast time also means that we qualified for the London Marathon next year... so watch this space.... (only kidding, Dave!)

Dont know what I was thinking of agreeing to do this marathon. Anyway the entry is in and the flights are paid for so absolutely no going back now.

Fiona Dolan, who died last year aged 36 of a brain tumour, was a good friend of mine.  I wish she could have been running the Marathon with me, but it is a privelege to be running for her charity. (www.fionadolanfund.com)
