Fiona Stevenson Memorial Fund

We're organising a party on Saturday 25 June 2016 to celebrate what would have been Fiona’s 40th birthday, and to raise money for the Fiona Stevenson Memorial Fund.
We have set up this JustGiving page for those who cannot attend the party but still want to make a donation.
The Fiona Stevenson Memorial Fund
The Fund was set up by the family and friends of Fiona who tragically died in the London bombings on July 7 2005.
Just before her death, Fiona had spent a three-month sabbatical in Belize. She became very conscious of the difficulties many children there face in developing life skills. She was especially concerned by the number of drownings that occurred due to children not learning to swim.
The Fiona Stevenson Memorial Fund raises money to help establish a swimming program for disadvantaged school children, along with water safety classes for their teachers. The ability to swim is a key skill that will also help more disadvantaged children obtain jobs in Belize’s growing tourist industry and helps to save lives.
The Liberty Foundation acts as a facilitator for Fiona's fund in Belize, ensuring that all money raised goes to fund the Belize swimming programme.
