Abseiling down the Portsmouth Spinnaker Tower · 29 April 2018

To develop new, and improve existing, services for children and their families with life-shortening conditions, on the Isle of Wight.

Story

To kick off this year's fundraising for our nominated charity I had the bright idea, back in the dark days of winter, of abseiling down Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower (at 170 metres it's taller than the London Eye and Big Ben!).

I have absolutely no idea whether I will be able to do this. I've never done anything like it before and I hate flying (different I know!).  I've been keeping my head firmly in the sand, but the day draws near and I have just a week to raise some funds for this very special Island charity who have  pledged £300k towards the £1.5 million needed for the refurbishment of a building at the Island's Mountbatten Hospice, creating a dedicated area for vital and much needed services.  So please help me to support them by donating just a small amount to this truly worthy cause - every little helps and I'm hoping it will also give me the necessary motivation to go over the edge ...
