We have decided that the only way we were going to get tickets for the Olympics was to actually take part. As part of our gruelling training schedule we are all taking part in The Race for Life this Sunday - which also means we can raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Thursday:

Went for a practice run with Daniel - who chatted and sang all the way round - I couldn't talk! My time was slightly affected by the fact that we had to carry D's scooter and then hide it to be picked up later. I'm sure Zola Budd never trained under these conditions! - Fionna

Anwen has bought new shoes for the run and is planning on wearing them in tonight at Brewsters - never was an athlete more dedicated!

We did it!! It was a wonderful day - over 7,000  ladies in pink! Rhian had the best time - and is aiming for the next Olympics - followed by Anwen, Stella, Fionna and Mhairi (who found herself in amongst the joggers). It was very moving to be part of such a fund raising event - there was a little girl who was running in memory of her mum  - another little girl who said "well done" to every group that passed - a lovely atmosphere.

Rhian and I are now hooked on running - watch this space. Stella says that she is going with Aunty Mhairi next time!
