Get ready - 1 ladder, 6 hours, 8 firefighters, 1 great cause!

How high can firefighters continously climb? That's the challenge Derbyshire Fire and Rescue is setting eight firefighters in New Square, Chesterfield Town Centre, between 10am-4pm on Sat 15th October.

Firefighters from across eight different stations are going
the distance and asking you to sponsor our climb for the Fire Fighter’s Charity.
Firefighting can be tough, and this great charity provide lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. Your donation will support:

  • Mental Health
  • Physcial Health
  • Social Wellbeing
  • Nursing
  • Retirement
  • Families

All of your donation will go toward the charity supporting the everyday heroes in our fire services community. Dip in to the link at the bottom and explore real life stories about how the Fire Fighter's Charity has changed lives.

But it’s not all power climbing and heights! We’re also inviting you to pop down on the day for some friendly fun for all with a tour of a fire truck, throwing a sponge at a firefighter, creating your very own selfie in fire kit, or pushing yourself with the firefighter fitness test. We’ll also offer fire safety advice on the day and plenty of opportunity to get stuck in.

So, we’re calling for your donations and support to make our communities safer. We really appreciate your support, thank you.
