Lincolnshire Wildlife Park incorporating The National Parrot Sanctuary, provides rescue facilities for needy animals specialising in Parrots and Tigers in order to offer them long term care and sanctuary. We feel these animals need more than just being passed from home to home.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Every year my brother Rich has undertaken some fundraising madness in a parrot suit to raise cash, and awareness, of the Parrot Zoo in Lincolnshire. This year I've taken the plunge and decided to join him.

In a way Zoo is a misnomer, the thousands of birds you can visit have all been abandoned through either neglect or circumstance, they are cared for alongside their own kind, which as sociable creatures is their optimum way of life.  Parrot is too, really, since you'll find meerkats, toucans, cranes, coatimundis, lemurs, kookaburras and reptiles!

This year's challenge is to WALK BAREFOOT OVER HOT COALS. Of course, whilst wearing a parrot costume.  We will be doing this on 4th November up in Rotherham.

Any donation, no matter how small, is much appreciated - all the fees for the event are already paid for by me so your cash goes straight to the cause. If you haven't already you should also plan a visit out to Friskney to see all the little feathery beakies!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
