Whilst the festive season is fun for many, Christmas can be especially difficult for someone sleeping on the streets. The weather is usually cold, many services they rely on close, and a lack of family support is more keenly felt. Our clients often lack the motivation to change during this period and can even find they slip back from any progress they have made. 

This year, First Base will hold 12 days of Christmas festivities, with activities to help clients feel motivated. This will include a 3-course Christmas meal, support, company and seasonal cheer. We will also use the opportunity to provide extra activities to ensure clients are fully engaged in enjoyable yet meaningful activities to give them the best possible start to living independently in the New Year.

£5 will pay for clients to have a hot shower and get clean - shower gel, razors and shampoo for a day

£20 will pay for clients to have breakfast when they first arrive in the morning - tea, coffee, milk, sugar, bread, & cereal for a day

£50 will pay for all clients to have a hot meal – nutritious hot food and drinks for a day
