Rob (Operations Director), Katie (Head of HR), Martin (Marketing Manager), Stephan (train driver - yes, OK, not actually bus) & Danny (Finance Business Partner) are running the distance between London and Paris in June, plus a bit more because there's 4 of us and we're doing 100 miles each.

We wanted to make a positive contribution to ED&I in our
workplace – as part of Senior Leadership Team in First South Yorkshire and Midlands we’ve realised how much work we’ve still to do to make our workplace as inclusive and welcoming as we want it to be.

Rather than a gesture such as a rainbow bus, we felt working
with a charity that has the same aims as us – and of course works with our future customers and employees – would have a bigger impact. We’re aware of our privileged positions and are keen to learn how we can make a difference.

We’re also pushing ourselves with the challenge – tired legs
and sore knees are in place and there’s still some distance to go!
