Story

We did it!!!

The flight from to was relatively uneventful and after a small hiccup with the hire car (we ended up with a VW Sharon – smaller than expected) we were on our way toand our hostel at the base of. After a meal and a whisky (we were inafter all!) we had an early night to rest up for the day ahead.

Friday morning we woke to a typical Scottish day – slightly drizzling with low cloud – we could only see about half way up the mountain. We spent the morning eating and buying food for the trip. By about 12pm it looked like the weather was getting worse so we decided we would forget any plans of doing Scafell in the light and startearly.

So at 1.15pm we headed off. The photo’s tell a lot of the rest, other than how good the beer at the end tasted!!
