Street Children (Zakat eligible)

There are 500,000 street children in Dhaka alone. Often abandoned or left to fend for themselves. They face the dailychallenges of hunger, abuse and the risk of trafficking.    

Children on the streets face a life of forced labour, trafficking, drugs verbal,physical and sexual abuse.

With the current COVID-19 pandemic around the world , the children now face a even greater danger to their life

£25 can help rescue one child from the evils of the streets. Your donations will help the volunteers and outreach workers rescue vulnerable children from the streets 

Street Children Home-Cox’s Bazaar (Zakat eligible) Food, clothing etc

These are homes for former street children who have no
family. This oasis is where their healing process will begin and where
children can finally be children again

Brothel Children’ (Zakat can be given for food and clothing for the children)

There are an estimated 20,000 children who live in brothels in Bangladesh and countless thousands around the world. We will visit some of these places to further understand the issues as well as support a local initiative that is supporting children who have either been born into a brothel or have a mother who is a sex worker.    

Your donation will allow us to take the children away from the brothel
environment and into our care centre, where they will be provided with the required help and support, they need to get on the right path to succeed in life.

Supporting Schools

Muslim Charity refurbishes and builds school around the world. As part of the Bangladesh tour, we will be supporting a Sylheti school establishing a new library.

Libraries are an essential component of all schools and a community. However, young people in rural villages have very little access if any to books or educational materials.

Here you will help put the finishing touches to the library with other students and handover the keys to all the students

Slum Schools- Sylhet

Thousands live in the slums of Sylhet. Often, they are day labourers or people with very low incomes. Their children are either assimilated into helping the family earn money or struggle to go to mainstream school. Muslim Charity with your donation will sustain the school we opened last year to support these children. It will give access to pre–primary education and take them further onto their journey or going mainstream schooling.
