Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving Page!

In July 2017, Pieta McCrum ( of bypieta.com ) created a free fitness group called FIT KIDS to help anyone get fit without barrier or excuses ( including parents whilst caring for their children ) in a secure & fun playground setting local to Hampton, UK. Our group is growing by the week and new fitness challenges set! We are super passionate about creating a healthy tribe and being the best example we hope our kids will follow. Life is just so precious and nothing is more heart breaking than losing a loved one. A team of about 30 of us are running our hearts out this February 18th in the Hampton Half Marathon in memory of a gorgeous local 4 year old little angel, Scarlett Lill.

As written by her loving parents Octavia & Richard:

"On the 11th of September 2014 Scarlett died suddenly and unexpectedly from bleeding and swelling in her brain. This was caused by alarge tumour called a glioblastoma that we were completely unaware of and that grew over a matter of only several weeks. Subsequently, Scarlett became severely ill very quickly and died within the space of a day.

Scarlett received amazing care from the London Ambulance Service, the Paediatric Accident and Emergency staff at West Middlesex University Hospital and, finally, at the Great Ormond Street Hospital. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts they were unable to save her.

The nature of Scarlett' death meant that she could help others by donating her organs and we are proud that she has changed the

lives and given hope to two adults, three children, and of course, their families.

Scarlett was a wonderful little girl and a joy to behold. Vibrant, kind, fun, generous and she had a beautiful soul. Aged four she was a social butterfly, a loving big sister to Arthur, had just learnt to swim in the summer and she was very excited about starting at her Mummy's school. She was adored by all her family and friends and she lives
on in our hearts and memories.

Scarlett would be proud of everyone’s fundraising efforts, especially as we are helping other children that are unwell. So, any contributions,

large or small, will be gratefully received by GOSHCC and help to keep Scarlett’s memory alive."

Our run is in memory of Scarlett.
