The Challenge - our fitbugs.net team is pledging to cover on foot the distance from Southend to Kyiv, some 1520 miles. Our challenge starts on 7 April and ends on 7 May. We are not a group of athletes, but a team determined to do what we can to help in this awful crisis. We will update on how the challenge is going. Wish us luck! We have 2 fantastic members of the Leigh Lions in our team, who work tirelessly to support needs both locally and (like this) internationally.

Together with Lions across Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and beyond, they're working tirelessly to help the refugees seeking safety from the war.The teams are drawing grants from the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) Refugee and Displaced Persons fund to provide the very best & most appropriate aid on the ground. Their work is complementary to the national aid agencies in order to avoid duplication and wasted effort, so every penny is used well.At this critical time, your kind donation will provide a massive boost - not just financially - to our Lions and the thousands that they help.
