On Saturday 22nd April we will be walking 11 miles along the Crompton Circuit with the fabulous Nurses from the Chemotherapy Unit at The Royal Oldham Hospital who are hoping to raise vital funds to buy new scalp cooling machines. 

The scalp cooling machines work on the principle of lowering the temperature of the scalp, which in turn reduces the amount of drug that reaches the hair follicles, meaning the hair is less likely to die and fall out.  

The existing machines are now 10 years old and are ready to be replaced. 

This is a great cause which can make a massive difference to people going through chemotherapy.
