We are running the Manchester Marathon on Sunday 3rd April in memory of our friend and colleague, Nathaniel (NayNay). Nathaniel was supposed to run the race himself on 3rd April.
Nathaniel was enjoying celebrating his 3rd anniversary on the 5th March 2022 with his girlfriend when he was brutally attacked in Nottingham City Centre, which led to a severe brain injury. Leaving him fighting for his life in QMC intensive care unit.
Nathaniel a loving brother, uncle, son , boyfriend and amazing friend tragically lost his battle on the 17th March 2022 surrounded by all his loved ones. He went on to donate 3 of his organs and as a result will hopefully be saving 3 people’s lives! Nathaniel has always been passionate about giving back to others. He was the type of person that you knew would be there for you at your darkest moment. He was so full of life and lived life to the fullest every single day. He always pushed his friends and family to work hard and exceed their limits. He was such a proud person and a true inspiration to everyone that knew him. He wanted to travel the world and run more marathons and it is so so heartbreaking we can’t see him do any of that anymore.
He regularly used to raise money for JDRF type 1 diabetes by doing Marathons and bag packing. He truly wanted nothing more but to give back to people and to help others. This was the person he was and always will be. So lovely. So kind and caring and I’m sure this is how you all will remember him.
