It is incredible how many of us are affected every day by the dreadful disease cancer, whether as patients, caring for loved ones, family or friends of unfortunate sufferers many of us will be affected during our life time. Therefore when faced with the prospect of living with, and being treated for cancer, is extremely daunting and can be life changing for all concerned.
With hundreds of different types of cancer the constant drive to find new drugs, treatments and equipment that can help fight the disease, increase survival rates and improve quality of life is a complex process and takes true dedication and considerable funding.
However, for anyone who has been in this difficult situation there is a glimmer of hope and it comes in the form of ‘The Christie’. Having experienced the ‘Christie Way’ first hand we have to be thankful that such a world class organisation is here on our doorstep in Manchester. The truly remarkable team that look after our loved ones, every day of every week, can only be described as amazing.
So in an attempt to help ‘The Christie’ continue its fabulous work we are participating in a Bike Ride from Manchester to Blackpool to raise much needed funds for this worthy cause and we hope that you can support us in our efforts to change the face of future treatments.
Thank you for your support!
